A rare figure of a boy seated on the back of a standing mule or donkey on a titled gilt lined base  with the raised title Milt in black capitals; he wears a cap, smock, and trousers, his right hand holds the reins and pails of milk are strung over the saddle. One of a pair, this right facing example has a professional repair to the boy’s neck and a restored ear to the mule, no other damage, repairs, or restoration. Made in Staffordshire, England c1860.
