A vey unusual original Victorian Staffordshire figure in the shape of a three story house that has been fashioned as a money collection box. The house with a front garden and steps leading to the front door around which a flowering vine grows. There are seven windows and a central chimney beneath a slated roof. The back roof holds a slot for placing coins and is decorated with overglaze enamel colours. A truly unique example, I have never seen another in this shape and in such good condition, probably so scarce as one would have to break the figure to retrieve the coins inside. Made in Staffordshire, England c1850, this example has a professional corner chip repair, no other damage, repairs, or restoration.
