A large original Victorian Staffordshire figure of Welsh tailor seated on the back of a standing goat. He is wearing a Welsh costume of steeple hat, jacket, waistcoat, tie, and breeches. He carries an iron in his lap and a parcel is on his back. Harding lists this figure as very rare, noting that Welsh figures in general are highly sought after by collectors, I would agree. The figure is in original condition having no damage, repairs, or restoration, and was made c1860.
